Top Most Used Apps In Nigeria 2016

This list was made from my observations, questionnaires and field analysis on the most apps Nigerians used in 2016.



Everyone loves the internet for one thing or the other, and apps are now proving to be a more convenient way people access the internet without using conventional browsers.

Well this list is opinion oriented. Feel free to critic this survey.

So Here are The Most Used Apps In Nigeria For 2016.

1.  Google 

Google search app by Google is one of the most used App in Nigeria.

Nigerians are very curious people and we tend to search for any new words or trend to cure our curiousness.

2. Youtube

The movie and music industry is one of the most contributive industry Nigerians have.

When the newest DIY tip or recipes video is out, we all rush to YouTube to chill. Also not leaving the movie and music category out, Nigerians love to watch movies and YouTube is the onespot for that.

3. Yahoo 

News, mail and search. Nigerians are politically active people who love to read about upcoming developments and controversies surrounding politics. They're also a lot Technology inclined people who love to feed on daily trends concerning Technology, Yahoo remains the top spot for that.

4. Jumia

The shopping habits of Nigerians cannot be overemphasized. Nigerians are classy and magnate spenders when it comes to shopping online, it's easier and more convenient than the whole stress put together when shopping physical.

5. Facebook

This is Nigerians number one spot for social media interactions and controversies. There is no need for much explanation, y'all already know.

6. Wikipedia

The world's most popular online encyclopedia is Nigeria's hub for learning and self education, with varieties of different portals to learn from, it remains the number one hub for information query after Google.

7. Instagram

This is probably the most active platform for celebrity controversies, slay selfies syndromes, funny vids and Lot's more. If not for it's massive data consumption, it would likely be among the Top 5 most used apps in Nigeria.

8. LinkedIn

A networking tool to find connections to recommend job candidates, industry experts and business partners.

9. Konga 

Online shopping platform for Nigeria.

10. GTBank

GTbank mobile app is one the most used apps in Nigeria for banking services.
