Google's old contact design |
The Google Contacts app has been in development since 2015, but recently Google returned with a new UI design with identical similarities to the new Gmail UI design.
So very soon some users would be unable to use the old design because it'll be completely phased out to welcome the new and improved UI similar to Google's mail service.

Big shout to Google for this improved UI, they continue to set standards for the UI/UX design industry, simple but fantastic!
In case you're wondering why Google Contacts app is important.
Google contacts let's you upload mail addresses, phone contact/numbers, fax, etc. It syncs your contacts to your gmail account so it can be accessed anywhere so you don't have to worry about loosing your contacts. Once signed into Gmail, you can access your contacts on any device.
Download Google Contacts App from Playstore
It'll be available to G Suite users on November 28th, and would become the default look for Contacts from next year's January.
