Xiaomi Is The 4th Largest Smartphone Maker on Earth

Xiaomi, popularly stylized as Mi has become the world's 4th biggest maker of Smartphones.

Well, it's been all green for the Mi since last year, they have been making millions of shipments around the world and are even planning on entering Nigerian Smartphone market.

Smartphones makers like Apple and Samsung who are toppers in the market scene had experienced a big shrink in smartphone sales.

Despite the Smartphones sales decline in 2018, companies like Xiaomi, OPPO and Huawei were able to increase in shipments and sales.

Apparently, these listings and reports were carried out by the International Data Corporation (IDC ) Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. According to the reports over 370 million phones were shipped during the fourth quarter of 2018.

Samsung, despite topping the charts, they witnessed smartphone volumes decline 5.5% in the fourth quarter (4Q18) with total shipments of 70.4 million units, just barely few points ahead of Apple & *Huawei

Apple, despite unveiling its three new models of iPhones had seen it volumes drop to 11.5% in 4Q18.
It became one of most challenging times for the company in terms of growth. The USA - China trade feud also contributed to this shocking shipment decline.

Despite all the shrinking here and there, Xiaomi managed to increase their shipments around the globe. They managed to explore the European and Asian market, especially in Spain and India. The Redmi brand are proving to be very competitive in the Market coupled with the fact that they're more affordable in pricing.
