MTN Nigeria Urges FG to Ban WhatsApp
In a time of peril and economic downturn, things are to be minimized in a way that citizens affected by the economy can be encouraged by the Government of the country, like stabilizing the nation's economy to make prices of products and services affordable by the affected number of people.
Last month, the whole nation was grumbling about the unexplainable increase of data proposed by NCC. The proposed data increase wasn't carried out again, because it had caused uproars from every part of the country, I'd doubt that any democratic person was in favour of such increase.
Now, MTN is asking the Federal Government of Nigeria to stop WhatsApp & Viber operations in Nigeria.
According to them, these chat platforms are massively swaying customers from calling more, or even texting, they urge the FG to follow in the footsteps of UAE in banning most social platforms like WhatsApp and others.
The complaints were laid by the CEO of MTN Nigeria, Mr. Ferdinand Moolman who gave deep insights on how these Social platforms like WhatsApp, Viber and others where massively swaying their benefits and also threatening their sustainability as Network providers in the Telecommunications Industry in Nigeria.
