How To Stop WhatsApp from Auto-Downloading Files

Ever thought of stopping the downloading of images and videos you don't need?

You've been in a WhatsApp group and has been forced to download different types of attachment posted in the group.

Here's How to stop Auto Download in WhatsApp

• Go to settings

Tap on settings

>> Tap on Data usage

>> When using mobile data

Tap on when using mobile data to choose the media files you don't want to auto download.

NOTE: you can also uncheck most media files when using wifi, maybe your router, except you keep stealing your neighbors wifi. Leave it checked, you can also roam data if you're in a data roaming area.

>> Uncheck the boxes

Uncheck the boxes of files you don't want to auto download.

Any file unchecked will be manually downloaded by you.

After Settings

After you might have configured the settings, Files will appear in a blurry view, giving you a slight view of what is to be downloaded and also indicating it's file size

Tap the view to manually download the file.
