WhatsApp Update - Group Calls Shortcut & Gifs Bug Fixes
WhatsApp began rolling the group voice and video call feature last year, but it didn't seem to be an easy process. Currently WhatsApp has now released a new update that introduces a dedicated call button in group chats on Android devices .This feature arrived on iPhone devices just last month.
The feature allows a users to make group calls and add participants all at once. This feature comes up in the new WhatsApp version v2.19.9 and was first cited by WABetaInfo.
Originally the previous update was pretty much cumbersome in its process. It required that a call be put through to the receiver, after the call had been answered, an add person icon appears at the top of the recipient's name. Imagine adding 12 participants - hectic!
But!
The newer update doesn't have to go through all those processes as it comes with a dedicated group call button.
The button appears at the top right corner bearing a human head-shoulder icon.
Features of the latest WhatsApp Updates
- The update has also fixes a bug which disabled the GIF tab
- The add person icon has been added to groups
