Huawei Product Vice President, Bruce Lee confirmed on Weibo (a chinese social media and news site like Twitter) that they're building an OS that will replace Android on their devices.

The rumored OS, codename "Kirin OS" might be an Independent OS  for Huawei devices and while we await its arrival, let's not forget that Huawei currently runs their own SoC, HiSilicon, a subsidiary of Huawei, they developed it for their Kirin’s proprietary line of single-chip systems for Huawei Smartphones, tablets, phablets, etc.

Huawei is supposedly following the likes of Apple and Google to create an ecosystem around its products. The second largest Smartphone maker is said to make a solo move towards its own proprietary system software.

Just like Sina Weibo (Twitter of China), Baidu (Google of China) and Alibaba (Amazon/Jumia of China). Huawei is set to rid off Android from its devices, whilst making Kirin the Android of China.
