Google To Kill Support For Its Chat App - Allo

Allo, Google's Messenger/Chat app with very similar features to WhatsApp and even has smarter replies/features compared to its supposed rivals is shutting down.

Allo will soon fade off from the "Chatrosphere" as Google is about to pull out its life support.

Google has signaled that their support for Allo would end next year's March 2019 and also cited that users with chat histories have the liberty of exporting their conversations off the app.

I made a post 2 years ago about Allo's arrival into the messaging scene, see here, In there i visualized or perhaps envisioned a strong competition between Allo and already established messengers like WhatsApp, Telegram and WeChat. Sadly it didn't turn out well for Google chat app.

It seems Google are only experts in fields like Search algorithms/indexing, machine learning and others but nothing close to real messaging experience.
