How To Download WhatsApp Status Videos and Pictures On Android With File Explorer

I was playing around with my phone when i discovered that i could actually download videos, pictures from WhatsApp status without having to ask my contacts or even munch it.

This method is better because you don't have to munch your screen by 'screenshooting', when you screenshot images on WhatsApp status it loses its pixels quantity/quality and that wouldn't be classic enough, especially when you're reposting it to your contacts.

Sometimes your Contacts put up lovely statues and when you ask them to share, they sometimes delay or don't reply. You can take from them without asking using this new method.

Now all you need to do is first, access your File Explorer, in this case it is not your conventional built-in file explorer, this is a third party file explorer, molded with a lot of functions above your default explorer.

How To Save WhatsApp Status To Your Android Phone?

1. After you might have downloaded the app ( I'm assuming)

2. Follow the Photo Instructions in ascending order.

When the app opens up, click on Logger.

Logger is a feature in ES Explorer that saves the activities of your android phone in text, videos and images. You can use this feature to also access hidden files like your WhatsApp statues.

After clicking on the logger (yellow),

It opens up with recent logs, the file in the red funny circle is from an image from WhatsApp status 👇, the other in green circle is a video from WhatsApp Status

Below is the view when you click on the image on logger, you then choose the image opener, here in the screenshot, the image i chose is the built-in image opener ES Image Browser

The blue sphere is the main image display.

The funny red rectangular tracing is a tab that displays other WhatsApp status images and videos..

To save the status, click the vertical dots (triple colon) at the top right of your screen , then click on share, then click ES save to and then choose folder of your choice to save file.

NOTE:

Status also disappears after 24 hours in logger. So make sure you download the file before 24 hours elapses.

This is not the only way through it, there are other apps that can do it but i feel this way is much easier because the files are logged into your phone and you don't have to download them again.
