How To Know If Your Smartphone Supports 4G LTE

4G LTE communication is becoming the new world connection order! Most Telcos in Nigeria except for Airtel has invested in 4G LTE, and now they are offering their high-speed data connection to Nigerians.

As 4G LTE Telecoms are coming up, so are the mobile vendors such as TECNO, Infinix and Gionee issuing 4G LTE supported Smartphones to the eager 4G users.

• As i write this, I'm thinking of an upgrade - a 4th Generation upgrade.

Nigeria is always a perfect spot for these kind of connections (high-speed). I believe most devices been shipped to the country now will greatly include 4G LTE enabled Smartphones.

In case you're wondering the speed of 4G LTE connection, it's 10 times faster than the conventional 3G HSDPA connection. While we embrace the most anticipated tech improvement during the change regime, the Westerners are gearing up for 5G connection.

How To Check For 4G ?

• Android

Go to settings >> Network setting >> Mobile Network >> a list would appear like

- 2G
- 3G
√ 4G LTE

If 4G LTE doesn't show, then your phone isn't supported.

• For iPhone users

Go to settings >> General >> Cellular >> then enable 4G LTE connection

• For BlackBerry users

Go to settings >> Network and Communication >> Mobile network >> change network mode to 4G LTE

• For Windows users

Go to settings >> Cellular + SIM >> High speed connection (Change it to highest network 4G)

∆ You would see "LTE" on your notifs bar, stating it's on 4G mode.

∆ Your SIM has to be 4G supported.
     MTN, GLO, ETISALAT are 4G supported for now.
